November 16th, 2009 Religion or Science?

In our confused and degraded world, where religion has lost its way (if it ever had it), there are many negative reactions to the words “religion” and “church” – understandably so. Most of the objections to organized religion can be made against science as well. Mainstream organized science is structurally just as corrupted and co-opted as mainstream organized religions. In each case there is a long, concerted effort to coerce members of their community into dogmatic attitudes. Those who do not accept the official dogma at face value, and raise uncomfortable questions are dealt with in a similar manner: attacked, ridiculed, ostracized and rendered powerless.

But, as is usually the case, we are faced with the situation of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Just because science has been perverted, controlled, and manipulated to only serve the very narrow interests of a self serving elite, namely for applications as weapons against the rest of humanity, does not make science “bad” or unacceptable as a means to a better understanding of ourselves and our world that can be applied for completely different purposes.

Just because the corporate medical system, based solely on profits, is a corrupt system that, along with its partner corrupt systems, ensures continued, spreading illness rather than treating illness with the aim of its reduction, and where possible, elimination, does not mean that all modes of medical practice and therapy must be this way. The sick need to be taken care of and treated with methods that lead to health.

The problem of mainstream organized religion as a dogmatic, coercive control system is the same problem of mainstream science and its organized institutions that propagate its abuse. Science has just become another dogmatic religion in its worst sense. Atheism is also a dogmatic religion. In all of these cases, they insist that they know that which they do not. Even if the explicit declaration of knowing absolute truth is avoided in some of these cases, in practice this is implied, and accepted by too many of their followers. Possibilities are ruled out arbitrarily, leading to the imposition of a limiting effect on people rather than a liberating one. Most importantly, all this reduces the chances of discovering Truth, or even recognizing it.

Many of us have rejected the distortion and abuse of organized religion for quite a long time. We’ve pointed out its corrupting effect on humanity down through the ages. But the same rejection has been applied to the ponerization of science. We have examined how the same mechanisms of control, deception, and manipulation have been utilized to hijack true science to serve military, intelligence, and psychological rape purposes.

The whole study of Political Ponerology has revealed how, over time, new meanings are slipped in under old labels, no matter what type of system is being ponerized. We have learned a great deal on how to defend our own psychological hygiene and asserted our right to do so. Great efforts have been made to teach this knowledge to others. Practical steps have been taken to help spread understanding of these issues, and to help people so that they can resist the paramoralistic and paralogical infections from entrance into their beings. Just as we understand that toxic food should not be ingested, we understand that psychologically toxic, pathological content should not be ingested either.

The problem of organized religion is simple enough to examine. Of all the claims by these mainstream organized religions to possessing absolute truth, with so much contradictions among AND within them, which one is “right?” Are all of these organized religions wrong, except for one? If so, which one? How do we decide? Or are they all wrong? It certainly seems obvious that they are all wrong with respect to possessing Absolute Truth. Coercion, violence, threats are not needed to protect truth, but they are needed to impose lies and half-truths.

Practicing True Science AND True Religion go hand in hand, and are different paths to the same destination: Truth. Life is Religion. TRUE Science AND TRUE Religion are open, living, evolving systems, as are Life and the Macro Cosmos.

Some of the greatest scientists, among them Wolfgang Pauli and Albert Einstein, have had no problem considering and embracing the relationship between science and religion. In fact, Einstein is quoted as having said:

Religion without science is blind. Science without religion is lame.

Any gifted, creative scientist knows the important role intuition plays in scientific discovery. But the intuitive mind is not sufficient without the rational mind, just as the rational mind is lacking without the help of intuition. We cannot do without inspiration, but we also cannot do without critical analysis. The right combination of inspiration and perspiration leads to the really valuable fruits.

What is true about good scientists is true about any creative endeavor. Great ideas are not owned by anyone. They are in the air, so to speak. The best of talented people are really the best of antennas and receivers. But there also remains the work of refining and implementing the ideas. Ideas are important. What we do with them is even more important.

We humans, at this level, do not make the laws of the universe. We must discover them. True Science and True Religion are both dedicated to this process of discovery. It is only in a schizophrenic society that they are divorced from one another.

A Deeper Examination

The problem of science being corrupted and abused is part of the same problem of religion being corrupted and abused. The same goes with democracy or the economic system, etc. What is different about The Fellowship of the Cosmic Mind from other organized religions? I think we can examine many fundamental differences.

First, the awareness of and measures taken against the corrupting influences that exist and persist in all human affairs will distinguish The Fellowship. The in-depth studies into the dynamics of psychopathologies and their role in the continual genesis, growth and spreading of evil in human societies has given us a REAL understanding of the mechanisms of human tragedies and suffering. All the years of attacks, smear campaigns, defamation, and slander against Truth, against the founder of the Fellowship, Laura Knight-Jadczyk and, by extension, this global research community have provided the curriculum and field work for “post-graduate studies” in disinformation and pathological entrainment methods. Why all the enmity against Laura and her work and associates? We have come to understand that the “taboo” subjects being researched are a real threat to the powers that be and the status quo.

Even in the face of multiple attacks, all of the hard work in researching, openly discussing, refining, and sharing what has been discovered has been ongoing. Reasonable people who have taken a look at what is done in the research groups founded by Laura and her physicist husband, Arkadiusz Jadczyk, often decide to participate, and as a result, have reaped huge benefits from their association and learning, and have come to trust this great, evolving project by judging the fruits. Ark and Laura are a shining example of the marriage of Science and Mysticism.

We have not been perfect in our interactions. We never claimed to be. We simply have seen ourselves as a community of more or less like-minded individuals going in the same direction. What we’ve been after all along is to value Truth, seek it out actively, and share it generously with any and all who want it. We have recognized that we are all in the same boat, all of humanity, and the boat is in peril, as it’s becoming more obvious that humanity is in a very bad situation, has been for a long time, and it’s steadily gotten worse. We have worked to try to help all by honest inquiry and hard work. We have also recognized that each of us alone can do nothing of any real significance.

To be clear, we have been practicing True Science and True Religion all along. We have been pursuing knowledge without the element of self interest, which reflects the best spirit of science and religion. We have held no dogmas, “scientific” or “religious.” We have researched mysteries in all directions, quested to understand the human condition, looked for indications of what explains it, and explored if and how it can be improved. We have worked with principles that are open to examination, and when errors are found in our thoughts or activities, we have made changes.

One major way we have agreed to further our aims has been to dedicate ourselves to the universal values of Free Will and Truth. We have refused to impose any belief system on anyone, and discouraged blind obedience, as we have refused to have belief systems imposed upon us. We have wanted to know and have not been satisfied to believe. Efforts have been made to distinguish Faith from belief. It has been stated that Faith is learning how to swim, whereas belief is holding onto a rock.

The problems of humanity realistically can only be solved with the tools of True Science and True Religion. Recognizing that the discovery, the unveiling, the revealing of Truth is an ongoing process is both good science and good religion in their true essence. We have received, developed, tested, and applied principles to serve others and we have accepted this as its own reward. Another major difference in approach and understanding of this Fellowhip has been to refine the concepts of “Good” and “Evil” beyond simplistic or confusing definitions so that practical application can be made in different circumstances, as we learn, and continue to work on ourselves.

The concepts of Service to Self (conventionally called Evil) and Service to Others (conventionally called Good) have been expanded and elaborated with specific principles and tendencies of each being explained. The all-important issue of context has been emphasized to determine which is which in each situation, to prevent mindless, mechanical, black and white thinking and blind obedience to self proclaimed authorities. The legitimacy and right to exist of both – Good and Evil – has been stated, in fact that one cannot exist without the other has been examined and accepted. Free Will to choose has been determined to be, with a high rate of probability, the most fundamental principal to defend, along with Truth, while also acknowledging that our access to and utilization of both are currently limited.

Free Will includes the choice to violate others’ free will as well as to deceive others, thus aligning with Evil, that is, Service to Self. Refusing to violate Free Will, taken as a universal principle, and applied to individual situations to the best of our current abilities along with working to serve Truth aligns us with Good, that is, Service to Others. We recognize that our ability to tell Good from Evil consistently is currently imperfect, and a work in progress, like so much else. There have been very tricky situations presented to us challenging our ability to improve our discernment. If someone is displaying highly self serving behaviors, for instance, and we are pretty sure that they do not carry serious psychopathologies which would prevent them from changing their ways, what do we do? We have come to agree that we support any altruistic traits in the person and refuse to support their selfish and manipulative behaviors so that we do not participate in their further descent into Service to Self, and give them a chance to develop their more noble motivations if they have them and want to do so. The option to associate less with the person if he or she continues aggressive, manipulative, and selfish behaviors remains with the possibility to associate with and support them later if we notice genuine changes.

Many of the objections about the decision to establish a formal religious organization as a legal entity really can be applied to anything and everything. For instance, Laura has been engaged in the Cassiopaean Experiment since summer of 1994. Is it reasonable to say that ALL channeling is junk and nonsense? Well, the vast majority of channeled material IS nonsense. Most of it is either incomprehensible mumbo jumbo, word salad, or more clever deception and disinformation, combined with high sounding words aimed at keeping people deluded and in their current estate.

Many years of research, experience, and constructive curiosity led to Laura’s experiment in Superluminal Communication that eventually, after two years of experimentation and fine tuning, which included contacts with “dead dudes” (alleged discarnate entities) and deceptive sources posing as higher sources of knowledge, resulted in the Cassiopaean Transmissions. All these years the process has gone through refinement and adjusting all “instruments” for higher accuracy and facilitation of better communication. These communications ARE different from most other channeled information. It is “critical channeling” that discourages blind devotee-ism. The Cassiopeans themselves do not demand to be worshipped or deified in any way and, in fact, admonish against such an attitude toward them.

They encourage researching and networking with others to verify the information they transmit and do not demand that anything be taken at face value without questions. So much of what they have communicated HAS been verified from a wide range of sources researched, including modern, scientific sources, as well as ancient traditions and sources. There remains much that can’t be verified without more data, and some seems unlikely to be verified at our current level of “Being.” What has not yet been verified is given a higher probability of being true, based on the track record of the source, and no final conclusions are drawn until more data becomes available to make that possible.

We are again faced with the situation to be careful not to throw out the baby with the bathwater. There have been other pretty good sources of channeled material with a relatively high level of accuracy, such as the Ra entity in the Law of One books and also the sources of Bringers of the Dawn channeled by Barbara Marciniak. They may not be on the same level of accuracy and clarity as the Cassiopaean material, but they DO contain a considerable amount of accurate and useful information that is largely in agreement with the Cassiopaean transmissions. I think most who are open minded and sincere, as well as adventurous and curious, will agree that it is not reasonable to declare ALL channeled material as being nonsense and/or fraudulent. Whenever someone claims: “All white is black”, we should immediately suspect their motives and knowledge base. Not because white being black is impossible, (we know there are paradoxes), but because they use the word “all“.

After all, the old-time religions, particularly monotheistic ones, have imposed a ban on spiritual communications as being the “work of the devil” (and it CAN be, but doesn’t HAVE to be, not to take the word “devil” too literally) even though much of their own claims, creeds, practices, and beliefs were channeled from a self proclaimed “higher source”!

What if the Monotheistic religions are right? Even if we consider it as highly improbable, what if they ARE right? Can they be right?

Approaching the question with a scientific mind, we have to consider this possibility, however improbable it may appear to be, and we conclude that such a claim cannot be truth.

Let us reason via “reductio ad absurdum” – which is often used in logic and in mathematical proofs. You assume something to be true, and then by a chain of logical deductions you come to the conclusion that your assumption cannot be true. Somewhat tricky – but useful.

Applying this method to the claims of the monotheistic religions that all Spiritual Communication outside of their approved context is 100% “of the devil”, let us suppose it is true. In order to be true it must include ALL spiritual communication at ALL times.

But if that is the case, then why would the sources of the Monotheistic religions be exempt from this rule? Does their god make rules only to break them, and then claims to be the only authority underwriting his/her/its breaking of said rules with no yardstick by which to measure or evaluate such claims? That would be a god of confusion and instability.

Putting aside philosophical issues, it is easy to see that, by logic, the Monotheistic religions are also being influenced by spiritual communications that are “of the devil” (if everybody is, then so are they).

So we see that starting from the assumption that the Monotheistic religious claims are right (Spiritual communications are 100% of the devil) we come to the conclusion that what they say is wrong (because they are simply repeating the “lies of the devil”).

So, here we have reductio ad absurdum.

But we can go even further. Can we see a reason why the Monotheistic religions would propagate such evident nonsense? Why?

Well, here we can have a hypothesis too. If, as we know by the above analysis, NOT ALL spirit communication is from “the devil”, that SOME channeling can provide us with real information from “benevolent higher beings”, from “us in the future”, or from the Cosmic Mind, call it as you will, then it is only natural that there will be forces trying to discredit TRUE channeling.

So, we have solved one problem here and exposed another. Since the Mainstream Monotheistic religions describe channeling and other spirit communication as “of the devil,” and if they are right, or even partly right, then we have reasons to suppose that these institutions are themselves agents of those forces.

These Monotheistic monopolies, imposed on humanity by coercion, force and violence, should be rejected whether they are demanded in a religious/spiritual context or a corporate business context, or any other for that matter. No inherent right to monopolize anything should be recognized. On the contrary, any such demands should be regarded with suspicion, questioned, and rejected. No one can claim a monopoly on Truth and no one can claim ownership either.

Another major difference with the Fellowship of the Cosmic Mind will be that we have never claimed and will never claim infallible knowledge and authority, nor declared unrealistic self righteousness or holiness. We will continue to recognize, as we have in the past, that the ends do not justify the means in any situation. We clearly reject violence, aggression, and bigotry. We also reject in-group and out-group dynamics, all forms of divide and conquer methods, and us-against-them mentality based on surface impressions or material differences.

We will continue to work for the benefit of all. We recognize that we can NOT use the methods of Service to Self (Evil) to further the aims of Service to Others (Good). I think it would really be difficult for anyone who knows this community and the fruits of its work to imagine that we can go on any crusade to eliminate “evil” which has been a recurrent theme of generating enormous amounts of evil throughout human history. We recognize that Evil cannot be and does not need to be eliminated from the Cosmos. We only reject the participation in Evil and reserve and assert our right to do so. All this makes us much more resistant to manipulations and corrupting influences to do the bidding of evil in the name of good, as well as keeping us sharply aware so as not to accept outrages (such as torture) by being presented with all sorts of twisted justifications, paramoralisms, and paralogical arguments. As in the past this community will not remain silent in the face of outrages and crimes committed by anyone.

A word should be said about taking back our pathologized language and our pathologized minds. These things are so closely related that they should be seen as the same process. The Orwellian usage of “freedom” (really meaning slavery and oppression) “democracy” (really meaning domination by a ruthless elite), etc. is part of the same problem as the corruption of the words “religion” and “church” and many others. I think it’s self evident that there is nothing wrong at all with these words and the concepts they express, in and of themselves. Our problem is and always has been with their distortion, corruption, and abuse.

Georges Gurdjieff had also consistently emphasized that there is something entirely wrong with the way people take the concept of religion (as with the way they take so many other things). There is a religion for the level of each type of human: types 1, 2, and 3 have differing conceptions of religion. Types 4, 5, 6, and 7 have such a completely different conception of religion among themselves, but most especially from those of man #1, #2, and #3, that it is just about impossible to talk about the concept of religion in too general a way, keeping in mind that man #1, #2, #3 are all on the same level of esoteric development while 4, 5, 6, and 7 are each progressively a step higher.

So much of what has been revealed by Laura, Ark, and the core group of researchers, with the participation of others, had been deliberately and carefully concealed from us so that we do not know how we may become empowered and cooperate with those going in the same direction to free ourselves from our current predicament.

We, as a group, have also consistently recognized that we must continue to work on ourselves, utilizing all the knowledge gathered from many sources, old and new. All of this has been tested and fine tuned to have the most effective and efficient methods of carrying on the process to come to know ourselves, our programmed, automatic responses, our subjectivity. It has been recognized that a network of sincere, like-minded people going in the same direction agreeing to act as a mirror to all members who want such a mirror to see what they cannot on their own is the only reliable way to move toward being more objective and more creative. For quite a long time throughout the process we are blind to our own mechanical, reactive, and destructive behaviors. We’ve recognized that we must travel toward objectivity through our own subjectivity, and that there are no shortcuts, but there may be some acceleration of the process without skipping steps.

All of these recognitions are closely related to our understanding that we are Service to Self beings living in a Service to Self reality (which is obvious from everything around us). This is because at some point a choice was made that aligned us with the Service to Self principles and subjected us to be dominated by much more powerful forces of Service to Self above our own level of density, in an analogous way to the way humans dominate the world of animals and plants. These precepts are part of our working hypothesis and cosmology based in part on The Fourth Way teachings of Gurdjieff, in all their ancient and more modern diverse guises, as well as the Cassiopaean communications, which have culminated in this latest development and launching of The Fellowship of the Cosmic Mind: Church of Revived PaleoChristianity.

We’ve had a pretty large group from diverse backgrounds participating in research and networking within the framework of this working hypothesis and cosmology which we’ve felt explains the most number of phenomena and experiences, but do not claim them to be complete. Among the diverse individuals are quite a few highly qualified scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and technicians. The scientific method has been used to investigate all sorts of issues, while recognizing that this approach is a powerful and useful tool but is not perfect. There really is no inherent opposition between true science and true religion.

These are artificial divisions imposed for ease of control of humanity, similar to the artificial divisions between the different specializations and fields of study within science. There really is no good reason to discourage scientists from different fields to discuss the discoveries in their respective specializations and freely exchange information, but discouraged they are, unless they are discussing the type of “busy work” that those who fund research have so many scientists doing who aren’t working on specific weapons programs of some kind; or some other circumstance where there doesn’t seem to be a danger to reveal what’s been concealed. But if any important agenda is threatened scientists are commonly attacked for crossing the lines of specialization and for meddling in what they allegedly don’t understand. But thankfully, this too is not foolproof and much good collaborative research has uncovered important information.

Having some of the reactions expressed against the idea of forming a legal religious organization are understandable, but if the reader will study the Statement of Principles of the Fellowship of the Cosmic Mind, they will find that such reactions are nothing other than programmed, mechanical responses, programmed into us by the STS hierarchy to prevent us coming together as One.

Much more can be said about how The Fellowship is different from other organized religions, but let us just summarize and finish up shortly. The fact that we accept ourselves as being Service to Self but are trying hard to make consistent choices to become more and more Service to Others is very different from being labeled “sinners” who are promised that if they declare a belief in this or that dogma they will be saved and redeemed. As in the past, we will continue rejecting any magical thinking or any other similar attitude like external mechanical rituals performed without understanding being capable of making positive internal transformations, just as we reject radical empiricism and materialism in their insistence that only that which can be physically measured and quantified exists. Nor have we accepted the proposition that totally random physical and mechanical processes led to the accidental arising of consciousness when a certain level of complexity had been reached. There is enough evidence in the data from biology, physics, psychology, etc. that this is really unlikely. We find the probability of consciousness arising out of matter to be very low indeed, and a case of putting the cart before the horse. These notions are thoroughly unscientific AND unspiritual.

I think we have a much deeper understanding that in our efforts to become more Service to Others, STO candidates, as the Cassiopaean Communication has expressed it, we must serve all those who ask and not impose anything on anyone who does not ask. We will help other STS beings among us that sincerely ask without manipulation or violation of OUR free will. After all, the Cassiopaean’s have been helping Laura and, through her, the rest of us because she sincerely asked, even though they are 6th density STO, and we are 3rd density STS, as what makes pure STO orientation is to help ALL who ask.

There will be NO pyramid type hierarchy for The Fellowship. The pyramid is a symbol and organizational structure for STS. There WILL be different levels, similar to the Fourth Way concentric circles, the symbol and organizational structure for STO. But all will be free to choose their own level of commitment and participation as always.

There are advantages in terms of legal protections in being a legally recognized religious organization and the responsible, highly intelligent, and greatly dedicated people at the core of this Fellowhip will maximize all the other advantages as well. We can see this as a new phase in the growth and development of this project, a culmination in making more connections and taking back from the corrupted and powerful institutions what rightly belongs to all of humanity in their wholesome, uncorrupted versions.

When the Eiriu-Eolas Breathing and Meditation program was revealed, there were those who said that we were now embracing a more New Age type warm and fuzzy, “contemplate your navel” do-nothing attitude and discarding our scientific postion. Others wanted to change and “improve” the words to the Prayer of the Soul, again, many because of automatic negative reactions to certain words. These were also not terribly unusual reactions. People, even many who are quite a bit more open minded than most, do not like and openly accept change instantly, without their false personality getting jumpy and wanting to remain with what is known and comfortable and programmed. But these are the same types of automatic, programmed reactions we have always worked to overcome. And all these reactions are part of the narcissistic programming and wounding, and other such traits that are part of general humanity but can be healed and changed for many who want it and make the necessary efforts. The scientifically researched breathing and meditation program has already proven to be a powerful new tool to accelerate growth and development, by helping to cleanse deeply buried emotional traumas and having a positive counter-action on overall stress to help us function better in general. And The Prayer of the Soul is a profound communion and is definitely NOT the type of prayer amounting to “Please ‘God’ make it that 2 plus 2 does not equal 4.”

The Éiriú Eolas Breathing and Meditation is also different in other key ways than other programs of a similar type. It is a re-collected and reassembled practice that seems to have been fragmented and corrupted over long periods of time (like so much else) so that humanity does not get the full benefits of the different aspects melded together. In point of fact, the benefits have been scientifically researched and many have been identified to be related to vagus nerve stimulation, besides other well known benefits of effective meditation techniques “with seed” instead just of emptying the mind. So besides our own experiences with practicing this program, there are data that have been and continue to be collected to support the understanding of the process and benefits.

Luckily, many of us have been going through a slow and gentle cleansing process, where emotional blockages are surfacing and being removed, unlike Laura, who like so many other processes, went through intense turmoil while experimenting and improvising with these techniques and the composition of the Prayer of the Soul decades ago. It seems some very deep rooted emotional blockages were removed back then which then led into the period of the Cassiopaea Experiment. Trailblazers alway suffer hardship and privation while those who come after have a much easier path to follow as the result of the efforts of those who have gone before, clearing the way. We have much for which to be thankful to Laura.

It has been a continuing pattern for this community to have pieces of the puzzle found and assembled from all fields of endeavor to improve and complete fragmented traditions and knowledge that have thankfully not completely disappeared. This would include the five major recommended modern psychology books, among others, which have helped tremendously to understand the content of our self observations and given the modern terminology the correlation with those of ancient traditions and practices of the Fourth Way. But the deeper implications and aims of the Fourth Way have been preserved.

In many ways nothing will have changed with the establishment of the Fellowship of the Cosmic Mind except for a new legal status. In other ways, who knows? It could open up avenues that have been kept hidden from our journey. It gives a formal structure that many people need and continues to accelerate community building and uniting ever more people with similar interests. Although being “outsiders,” rebels and dissidents of sorts has the advantage of being independent (and free from pathological institutions), the disadvantage is lack of close community and the ability to measure our position and progress by a common standard. And as always, those who want to have partial participation can do so.

It’s very likely that the attacks will continue and may escalate. All of the slanderous attacks on Laura and the Fellowhip have been designed to derail or at least slow down progress, because all attempts at infiltration, co-option and control have failed. There must be a reason so much time and resources have been devoted to these attacks by the Powers That Be, even if some of the actors are not even fully conscious of their assignment. I posit the reason to be that this project is and has been a serious threat to the status quo. All the divisions and confusion and chaos so consistently spread in all directions for so long to keep humanity from uniting and understanding anything of a significance so as to be able to bring about true positive and lasting change for all have only been able to slow down this project but have also added to the lessons learned.

Life IS Religion, and how we interact with Creation IS indicative of our orientation and our Faith that the Universe is capable of taking care of itself and all within it. Life is also change: Cyclic Change. We understand that choices have to be made as to what role we play in the Cosmic Drama. What Laura and the research team have been doing all along is to give TRUE alternatives to the way things are where no REAL choices are allowed. And providing a model which shows that this pathologized environment is NOT the only one possible really is definitely a threat to the status quo.

So The Fellowship of The Cosmic Mind – The Church of Revived PaleoChristianity has been born. All who want are welcomed to join and participate at the level they are comfortable with and all those who do not want to participate are also welcome to pursue their choice.
